Doi Hua Mot

Doi Hua Mot is approximately 9 kms. from Umphang. The mountains, which are 30 kms. long and 2 kms. wide, are mainly made up of dolomite and laterite. On the moumtaintops, there are not large trees, only undulating limestone hill with clusters of small shrubs growing profusely ; for example, Begonias, Gesneriads and Impatiens during the wet season. The land is covered with pebbles. The top of Doi Hua Mot is the place to admire the ‘Sea Foggy’ inthe early morning. It is also possible to see the township of Umphang, the forest, and the undulating mountains from here.
